LDCL offers safe, reliable, and efficient inter-island and mainland passenger transportation through a fleet of five passenger vessels owned by Administration of U T of Lakshadweep—MV Kavaratti, MV Corals, MV Lagoons, MV Arabian Sea, and MV Lakshadweep Sea—which serve as the maritime lifeline for the Union Territory of Lakshadweep. Purpose-built to meet diverse operational requirements, MV Kavaratti accommodates up to 700 passengers and 160 tonnes of cargo, while MV Corals and MV Lagoons each support 400 passengers and 250 tonnes of cargo. MV Arabian Sea and MV Lakshadweep Sea are configured for 250 passengers and can transport up to 110 tonnes of cargo. These vessels, ranging in GRT from 982 to 8763, with lengths between 50.81 and 118.00 meters and draughts from 2.20 to 5.20 meters, were inducted between 2000 and 2015 under the aegis of the Administration of the Union Territory of Lakshadweep. Their continued operation reflects steadfast commitment of LDCL to maritime safety, service excellence, and the sustained connectivity and development of the island region.
